Jean-Paul Bédard — an advocate for victims of sexual abuse — is speaking out about the alleged assaults at his alma mater. He is calling for St. Michael's College School to break open the culture of silence in schools and sport, saying he experienced a sexually violent incident as a young football player at the private all-boys school in the 1980s.
St. Michael’s made headlines in November 2018 when six students were charged in connection with an alleged gang sexual assault that was reportedly captured on video and shared online.
